Hey Aly, Our hotel here has wifi so Uncle Glenn has made comments on your first chapters and we sent it by email to you so check it out. We were at Joey's graduation over the weekend and had a nice time and are now finishing a hiking trip in the White Mountain. We hiked to 5 waterfalls and had a wonderful time. Glenn fit in a little fishing too. And I fit in a little shopping!!!!! Wish you could bring home the little kitty, sounds so cute and it's nice you were able to save it. And I agree with Ted, there's a children's book there. Even if you got it out of Kenya, France airport security is crazy strict. They took away Brian's carabiniere he used to hold his keys because they said he could put in across his knuckles and use it to hit someone! They'd never let a kitty through unfortunately. Glad you found it a good home. Take care of yourself these last few days, can't wait to see you. Love, Aunt Donna

yes, I remember christie, last time it was purple, better go with the brunette look. this blonde is not working out. my home addy is 56 cold spring st. New Haven, CT 06511 and you have my cell. I will be hom May 21. Glad you're procrastinat- I mean starting it now. So yay, people liked my first chapters. sweet. I am rewriting them as we speak with correctons and such. I have 1-8 finished, 12 and 13 almost there and 9 is simply a sentence that states, "Africa is impossible to describe." That should end well. other then that, it is 10:10pm in mombasa and we (all the students) have convinced this internet cafe to stay open until 2 AM so we can work. love love, 9 days... well 8.... Aly

Hey Aly!
So, I saw _The Constant Gardener_ last night. THAT made you want to go to Kenya! They DIED! Really brutal deaths. I don't know whether to think you are nuts or to admire you beyond reason for your courage and desire to do good (I'll go with the latter).
Take care of the malaria.
I guess you have answered the question of "Do blondes have more fun?" in the negative.
Have a safe trip back.
Leigh.

Not in a society of black, african, dark skinned and haired people where white makes you stand out more than enough, already. P.S. I am eating a secret cookie. and magic peanuts.

Hey Aly, I wrote last night when we got home but somehow it posted then, but is gone today!?! How does that happen? I guess I didn't say anything worth keeping! Hehe. And I don't have anything important to say now. Just wanted to know I'm thinking about you. Uncle Glenn answered your email. Keep safe, we'll see you soon. Love, Aunt Donna

Cally is fine. We all were at Joey's graduation from Keene State last week and Kate had taught her to say "Good job, Joey. We are proud of you" She said it well.........and often! She was very funny. I'll send pictures when you are back home on your own computer. She got her first nightgown or as she calls it, her "jama dress" and she loves it. They have trouble getting her to take it off in the morning to get dressed. She loves being a princess! See you soon!!!!!!!!!!! Love, Aunt Donna

Glad I finally got to talk to you today.
sorry, I called in the middle of the night your time later, I think you picked up but could not hear me. It was a dumb time to call, but my 13 year old cousin Elaine kept bugging me saying I should call you and she would not stop until I called so I called. I call you again tommorrow.
