01/02/06 11:45 AM Soeul time. My 14 hour flight was a breeze. I got to see the Bering Straight and Kamchatka! I also saw orion from the plane. However, I am currently stuck in Soeul because my flight has been delayed due to an intense fog that doesn't even allow me to see the planes at the end of the ramp when standing at the gate! I feel more well rested and awake (and cleaner) than i usually do on eight hour flights to Europe. Probably the "no parents" effect. I spent a majority of the flight thinking about my boy and my project and translating Indochine from French to English. I met a guy from Tufts who let me watch South Park on his computer for some of the flight, which helped pass the time. However, I feel a bit dryed out. My group seems pretty cohesive, and I must have missed the class where we all became close friends. I have been wandering aroung this airport, which is about a mile long, for five hours now since early morning Monday (Korean time). I had Korean food for breakfast and Dunkin Donuts for lunch. I am going to go facebook the Tufts guy, whose name is James. Thinking about my boy and Mulder. -Aly-

Hey Aly, Glad to hear your first flight was ok and you are already making friends. I also hope the fog cleared and you were able to continue your journey. This is the first time I have ever communicated by this website method. I hope I have it right and you get this message. I really enjoyed seeing you Friday before you left and I treasure the little drawing you did for me. Thanks for your thoughtfulness. Also thanks for your thank you note, I loved the snowflake! The new year has brought nasty weather and a lot of work to accomplish. Oh well, just like last year! I can't wait to hear about your journey and all you see and experience. Just wanted you to know I was thinking about you. Love, Aunt Donna
