Hello Everyone,
I just talked to Aly. She is in Lamu and doing ok, but there is not a lot of internet access there so it will be hard for her to update her blog. However, she does have her phone and asks for phone calls from the States so she can know how everyone is doing and how Easter went.

yeah its true. Back in Lamu. Writing my "book" on possible the slowest most ill-equipped machine ever. a Dell from 1995. I am amazed at the fact that its lasted this long... Well the only thing more slow and painful would be a typewriter, but at least if I had a typewriter I wouldn;t have to depend on the opening availability of the Posta (post office)... So now I will be here in Posta from 8-5 everyday typeing... This is going to be ridiculous. love and kissies from Lamu. Aunt Donna, thank you so much for your cards and simmons girlies, got your letter good luck with the show. -Aly-

Hi to you in the Posta! ! Easter at Aunt Donna's was great. Food was the Hot Crab, Sliced apples with a dip by Kate and good cheese and wine...dinner was sliced ham, leg of lamb, asparagus, corn and potatoes made by Aunt Donna from a recipe by the Quiet Man!! Kate brought three wondeful cakes, Donna made a cheesecake All was delicious....Cally had an egg hunt, many baskets with rabbits, chicks, ducks. The day was ideal weather so she went out with her sidewalk chalk....then came the bubble chasing event....until Kate's blowing was useless with the breeze blowing them away too fast. then indoors she had a little putter and was golfing using a plastic egg...she is in a perpetual happy motion all the time....I noticed when her mother says NO she has learned to say pleeeze! We had a one oclock dinner so everyone could get home early...twas a good idea Well this is my version of a wonderful day and we all missed you.............very much! Luv Nana

I missed you all too! I would have loved lamb and asparagus. I had vegetable soup, pilau and Mango-Papaya-Lime juice for my easter dinner.
Wishing you all a Happy Easter from Lamu.
Thank you Aunt Donna for all your cards! I love getting mail... hint hint other family members...
Happy Spring,
-Aly-
Ps. Mom, please set up my orthodontist appointment for about 24 hours after i return from kenya. i want to be done with him before camp.
Also, i will be comeing home at 440pm may 21. bring boy and mexican food. Seriously. All i want is mexican. homemade quacamole is not the same in kenya as an actual burrito from El Pelon. if there is no mexican food i an getting on a plane to mexico. I'm serious. i'll be at the airport and have a credit card. Not a problem. Don't tempt me.
Oh yeah, and if I am not picked up at the airport by people i know and have to take that ridiculously unfriendly Prime Time home, i will disown all fo you and take the most expensive plane to whereever it is going. Seriously, NOT doing the limo service again. They are soooo mean and disorganized. I waited almost 2 hours last time.
Okay and one last thing, I have finished the first chapter and need an editor. Please volunteer below.

I help in editing if no one else volunteers, but I honestly dont think I would be very good at it. Plus it would most likely cause fights; maybe I could outsource the job to one of my students.

Hey Aly, Glad you like the cards. Not much to say on them, but at least they are physical reminders that I miss you. Easter was nice and I did miss you. I'll make you lamb and asparagus when you come visit again. I'm not good at Mexican, but I know a decent mexican restaurant to take you to. But I can make guacamole! I'm more the science major than English, but I'd be happy to read your first chapter and give you suggestions. I haven't talked to Uncle Glenn, but I'm sure he would take some time to edit your first chapter. If you don't like our editing, you could have someone else to the next chapter! Love, Aunt Donna
