So I'm stuck in London longer than i thought I'd be - not that London isn't cool...
I met up with Kathleen and Ed yesterday for a bit before heading to the airport on the tube. thought it would take one hour, but the tube stopped in Acting Town or something on the way to the airport and we were sort of stuck for 25 minutes waiting for the branch that went to the airport. But it was fine because i still had two hours before the plane left, but we stopped again in some tunnel thing and that was another 30 minutes. By the time I got to the airport, found terminal 3, Section D, and cut people to the front of the cue, they told me "oh sorry, you're late for check in and we put your seat up on standby..." I said, "well... I have an hour and a half before my flight, can't you put me on standby for my own seat?" Yeah no.
So they sent me away and wouldn't help me book my rescheduling of my connector flight until i arrived in Nairobi... So i had to get on a bus to the Raddisson and Virgin paid for me to stay and for my meals, which i didn't think they'd do, but was a good thing because two meals and a room at the Raddisson is like 135 POUNDS.
NOW I have checked out and will be waiting for a ridiculous amount of time in the lobby because my flight isn't until 7:30 pm and its 11am and at least here I have internet access as opposed to 10 GBP a half hour at the airport.
Love traveling. First time I ever missed a flight. ever. Kinda sucks. Don't do it.
AND to make things kinda worse, its like 14$ a minute to call Kenya, so i had to have my dad do it, but forgot to tell him where I was going to stay, so i don't know if he got through. Thanks for trying anyway.
Happy Father's Day. btw.
Uh. Oh yeah. And I threw my back out, and didn't sleep because of the pain, and i didn't want to take any of the left over vikadin from my teeth thing because in the event that i get Malaria again: I DONT WANT TO FEEL ANYTHING. Cause malaria's a pregnant dog, and sometimes you die.
Clearly I'm cranky and all snuffy.
I hope Nana's not this cranky, even though she has to be in the hospital, which is totally worse than the Raddisson Edwardian outside of Heathrow.
get well soon. Have a delightful dad's day and cheers from London, England, Europe.
